As also for various other projects, the Drawings
with the Magic-Board are a tool for inventing, exploring and developing
new spatial experiences and architectural strategies. The traces of these
One-Line-Drawings are the point of departure. But then: How to deal with
a One-Line-Drawing to create spatial structures?
Straight:
1) as a ground elevation (with or without different levels
and plateaus)
2) as a section
3) as an axo
4) as a perspective
5) as a spiral (like a wire)
6) as a front/back/side view
7) as a folding
8) OTHER (intuition will guide...)
Intuitive:
1) Research + Image Collection (whatever grabs interest)
2) Selecting and editing = the story + One-Line Drawing
3) Space experiments (computer)
4) Space experiments (models)
5) Parameters and examples for space decisions (from
story + pragmaticneeds)
6) Parameters and examples for design elements (materials
+ light + colours, etc.)
7) Finish designs and start with "plastic surgery”
for "functional” and aesthetic adaptions.
8) Combine various models in a "marriage”,
a term which is used in the automobile production for the fusion of the
chassis with the body.
