The Field of Play (Painted dogs in the public space of Thessaloniki,
June 2004)
The development of the new
transit space for the Olympic Games 2004 have a huge impact on cultural
landscapes and public spaces in Greece. This public art event and the
photo works reflect critically the consequences of that radical change
in Greece.
The project deals with constructions of public spaces and exposes a strong
relationship between media images and new transit spaces. Creating a “soccer-team”
out of painted, stray dogs is the point of departure...more
This project was realised in the public space of Thessaloniki in June 2004.
